After a rich 33 year history on Indian Rocks Beach, Country Day Montessori School of Indian Rocks Beach (CDMS-IRB) will now become the leading accredited provider of Montessori Education on the Beaches for the Fall of 2023. It will become a part of CDS Tampa Bay that is recognized as the leader in providing Montessori Education in Tampa Bay including campuses in Pinellas and Hillsborough as well as the renowned Country Day World School in Largo. The CDMS-IRB mission is to “Nuture, Inspire and Prepare Students to Flourish Globally”. The school will be distinguished by its desirable location one block from the beach, small personalized learning and best in class Montessori Program.

Head of School
Michelle Brown became the Head of School in June of 2022, after serving as Director of the Upper School. Mrs. Brown earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from Missouri State University. She then went on to earn a Masters in Secondary Education and Mathematics. She also holds a postgraduate Specialist in Education Leadership degree, which involved completing doctoral course work with a focus on curriculum, instruction and assessment. As a passionate educator and academic, Mrs. Brown has made numerous contributions to education, having presented papers at leading conferences, including the Annual Critical Questions in Education Conference, the Annual Eastern Educational Research Conference, and the Annual Florida Council of Independent Schools conference.
